Great WatchJul 22, 2010 I got this watch because of the style and the fact that its soild stainless steel. looks great keeps good time and is waterproof I dive and sell hot tubs for a living. my hand is in water all the time. I had a watch like this and it was brass case and when the crome wore off it turned my wrist green.
sweet watch for my dad.... he loves it... looks like a Rolex.Jul 15, 2010 Arrived quickly, and in great condition. got it for my 83 year old dad for fathers day. he loves it... easy to read dial, and a great band that fit perfectly.. as he has larger wrists. All is great.. I wear a Movodo, but will get an Invicta soon for my self... thanks Amazon.. made fathers day great.
Broken on ArrivalJul 09, 2010 This watch definitely looks fantastic, but it was messed up on arrival. The crown on these types (I also have the 8926) unscrews so you can make adjustments to the time, date, and wind it. As I was unscrewing the crown, the date started changing before it was all the way out. That's not supposed to happen until the crown is all the way out and pulled out one click. When screwing the crown back in, the watch is still winding as it is going in, and the crown binds and won't go in any further. After a few tries, it went in.
I don't know how a watch like this would get out of the door at Invicta. That means nobody even checked the functionality of the watch after it was assembled, or or they didn't care, or they were incompetent. This wouldn't have been a hard problem to find if it was just checked! It would only have taken a few seconds. Back it goes.
I know it's hard to expect perfection at this price point, but if they had to charge a little more to have the watch checked before it leaves the factory, I think that would be a good thing.
Nice watch, but repair service is poorJun 24, 2010 The watches are pretty nice looking, and keep good time. I purchased two similar models (both pro-divers).
If you have a problem (and I did), throw it away and buy a new one, because getting it fixed under warrantee is too much hassle.
The bezel jammed, and could not be turned. I sent the watch off to Invicta for repair (I followed the instructions that came with the watch).
I had to pay around $[...] total for shipping both ways. They have been holding my watch since April 12th. During the wait I called several times. When I called, I waited 5-20 min. About half the time the line went dead, and I had to call back. Once in a while I was able to talk to someone. I have received a multitude of excuses for why the watch was not shipped (from some lady that speaks broken English). Wouldn't you know it is being shipped back via FedEx, and a signature is requested? There is of course nobody home during Fed Ex shipping time. I had to take a day off work just to receive the watch, on July 2nd. Of course they did not return the original Invicta box that I shipped it on.
My conclusion is: TimeOffWork+ShippingBothWays>(CostOfANewWatch) Just thought I would let everyone know!
Nice watch nice valueApr 23, 2010 From afar looks like a Rolex.
Up close it still looks good
However, it will gain a minute or two or lose a minite or two after a few days. I wound it today ( after two weeks) and will check the accuracy, the watch was operational when I got it so I never wound it, I wear it 24-7.
My boss, who wears a Rolex, asked me what kind of watch it was, just like he did with the last Invicta I owned. The last Invicta is still operational, in the console of my car, with a broken band awaiting service which it will never get because I have this new watch.
