great watchAug 25, 2007
By Ross I owned a different version of this watch for close to ten years and loved it. This version fixed one of my two complaints. You'll see the same watch, with gold, black or white faces and a black band. That black band needs replacing every two to three years - it'll basically fall apart. The stainless steel band fixes that problem. The other thing you'll also find on just about every review of this or any other version of this watch, is that there is no light. Seems like an easy fix on Casio's part, but obviously it wasn't that big a deal, because I bought a new one. They used to just make the gold face, and somewhere along the way, they made it rather orange, so I was pretty stoked to see a few new choices this time around. For the price, I can't imagine a better watch - okay maybe the same thing but with a light.

Excellent watch almost for freeMay 22, 2008
By Mixon Thank you Casio, you bit all competitors. Good looking watch, 3 time zones (if you setup main digital time different from arrow's time), alarm, calendar, stop watch. What else you can get for $64? Once fill up gas tank. I gave 5 stars, even everyone complained about light. Remember light takes too much battery energy. I still think how to use this compass bezel without compass arrow? May be it is for mariners? Anyway it is 5 stars product. And of course, thanks Amazon!

Can not recommendApr 15, 2011

I got this watch as a Christmass present last year. When I got it I loved the look and feel of the watch. Looked very well made. Shortly there after the band came off. So I had it fixed by replacing the pin. Well this happened 3 times. It appears that the way the band is made it bends the pins and then they eventially break. I fixed this by putting a black rubber band on the watch. Then the watch stopped. I thought it was the battery. Had that replaced but turns out it was not the battery, the watch was broken. Not worth having it repaired. Thus even though it is a nice looking watch I can not recommend it. Save your money and look else where.

Great looking watchJul 31, 2008
By Jim This is modeled to similar to Omega and Rolex designs. I've had several people ask if it was one, and were surprised to see the Casio logo. For the price it's a great watch. I've had the AW-320(?), with the gold face, black bezel and black rubber band, since 1994 and loved the look and durability. While it's basically the same watch, albeit with a stainless steel band, there are a couple things about it that have changed. First, the bezel turns both clockwise and counter-clockwise. So it should not be used for diving. Next, a couple minor changes to the face design (other than the color) have been made. Also, although the movement is Japanese, this watch was assembled in China.
My previous version, only turned counter-clockwise--as it should. Also, the crown does not screw-down. So be cautious in water. If the crown is snapped down and the battery cover is secured over the o-ring, it will do just fine for casual use (swimming, snorkeling, showers, etc.).
This is a large watch. Be sure to check the size of the face before you buy. If you have small wrists, it may not fit or look right.

Pretty good, could be betterApr 18, 2009
By JD I was looking for something that will always show me a correct date. And I like the hour beep signal so it's easier to keep track of time. This is one of a very few watches with this combination of features in a affordable package. I like this watch. The large hour marks and arms are visible in dark places and the digital date/time screen is quite visible as well. I don't mind it doesn't have a back light. There are other Casio watches that have these and more functions (including the atomic watches). But for some reason they looked not as well made, though of course I can't check them on my hand. Complains? Well, this watch is huge, kind of bulky. It's well made but not very elegant. And heavy. It took me a while to get used to. Also there are 3 hour marks missing: 5,6 and 7 so there is a space for the screen. This is kind of confusing and it takes a while to guess if it's 4:30 or 5:30, and so forth. In terms of time accuracy it seems to be reliable. Stop watch and dual time is nice to have as well. Over all I don't love it, but I like it. Good watch for the price.
